A new Yahoo! Group has been created that continues the tradition set by NorthWest Rails (NWR) and Northwestrails.com. We discuss railroad news, information, and photography in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. In general we cover any railroad in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and Northern California. Specific railroads discussed in the coverage area include Union Pacific, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and Amtrak. However we are not limited to mainline railroads, NWR also discusses regionals and shortlines including Central Oregon & Pacific, City of Prineville, Idaho Northern & Pacific, Lake County, Portland & Western, Port of Tillamook Bay, Willamette & Pacific, and Willamette Valley (OR); Camas Prairie Railnet, Columbia Basin, Montana RailLink, Palouse River & Coulee City, Puget Sound & Pacific, and Tacoma Rail (WA); McCloud Railway and Yreka Western (CA) and many more.
